To bring God’s Word to the Villages

As part of New Tribes Mission, our work is to be a part of planting a church in a village in Mozambique. There are still many people who have no access to the Bible in their heart language, and not enough people to bring it to them. We have trained and are now equipped  to go be a part of the work God is doing in South East Africa.

We are currently learning Portuguese, as our departure date is January 2010. Upon arrival, we will be working alongside the national church as we get acquainted with the country.

From there, we move into a village location,  learn the village language, create an alphabet for them and teach them to read and write in their own language. Also, we will translate and teach the Scriptures from beginning to end, and  train up believers to be able to then take over and reach out to the neighboring villages. The ultimate goal is to raise up a self-sustaining church with mature believers that can multiply to reach out to more.  Read more about the current events in Mozambique here.
