Equipping Latin American cross-cultural church planters

About

Providing missionary resource material in Spanish for Latin American missionaries is the task to which we have committed our talents, energy and resources.

How did this come to be so important to us?
It was the result of 16 years of investing our lives in Latin American missionary trainees.

As the graduates of the four-year program moved into tribal ministries, it was evident to us that the training program had merely given them a start. Like any professional, our alumni needed to continue growing and learning on the job. To do that, they needed the same resource material in their hands that was available to their English-speaking partners.

In 1998, we organized Spanish Language Resources to meet that need.

What kind of resource material?

NTM has developed many helps for church planters. One key resource is a series of 10 books of model lessons called Building on Firm Foundations designed to teach the truth of Scripture from creation to Christ and on into Acts and the epistles. Our Spanish-speaking missionaries need these lessons to adapt to the tribal languages.

Manuals have also been developed for Literacy, Bible Translation and Culture & Language Acquisition as well as other aspects of cross-cultural church planting. Our Latin American partners are also eager to have technical articles, challenging videos and even web content in Spanish.

A select list of these materials can be downloaded from the www.ntm.org/espanol page. The complete library of Spanish resources is distributed to our missionaries through a member-access website. For inquiries, please contact us directly.

Short-handed

The stack of materials to translate and distribute never seems to shrink. Prospects are slim that we will ever catch up. As you pray for us, please ask the Lord of the Harvest to send qualified and motivated people to join us.
