NTM

I’ve been at the NTM Missionary Training Center for four years. My ministry involves working in the Training Center Bookstore. The New Tribes Bookstore Team works to accomplish the goals of New Tribes Mission by assisting in the training of missionaries to take the Gospel of Christ to the unsaved. It’s primary desire is to glorify Christ in all that it does. 

The Bookstore provides course related materials for the students. Some of these are produced in our print shop and others are obtained from outside sources.

We are also an outlet for the Missionary Technology Department – supplying solar fuse panels, rechargeable batteries, water filters, DC powered charging equipment and other items for field use. 

Part of my responsibility is locating items missionaries are asking for, ordering them and processing the order when it arrives.

During the students training they have a 6 week language practicum where they put into practice the language learning techniques that they have learned up to that point. Students are paired up with someone in the community or on staff who speaks a foreign language. Every semester I’m one of the language helpers, spending 2 hours a day with the students.

Each of the students in training is paired up with someone on staff for discipleship during their two years that they are here at MTC. It has been a joy for me to be Mandi Kuster’s advisor and mentor.
