NTM

Excellent!!! Before I saw this video, I had already committed my life to Christ to use on the mission field. I am willing to go to a people that have never heard, whether it be in the heart of Africa, in Asia, or Papa New Guinea. For years, I have wanted to go to NTM, so that I could be a Jim Elliot, a C.T. Studd, or a Hudson Taylor. I am ready to give up the comforts of home, and give my life up to eternal importance for the Only One, who gave Himself for me.

Ministry

April through July has been good with a few little trips for filming, and visiting family & churches. Those of you I saw were a great encouragement to me – thank-you!! It’s nice to be back home, without any major plans on the horizon as of yet. The Wayumi and Moi videos are both close to being done, and I’ve worked on some little projects like t-shirt orders & DVD menus. A work team volunteered to come help paint this weekend, and I’m really excited about getting the studio to a usable point. This is a huge blessing!

God has challenged me lately about diligence and about laziness “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest; so shall your poverty come like a prowler, and your need like an armed man.” (Prov. 24:23-24) The thing I noticed was the “little bit” part – just a little bit has a major effect. There were a bunch of verses about work too, and I noticed you can actually see the results of diligence – it’s not just a mindset or feeling! =) Prov 14:23 – “Work brings profit..” These principles have encouraged me to persevere and have a good attitude at work. It’s been a great month.

Friends
WOW. God has richly blessed me with such good friends here at NTM. Friends who give our mini-golf balls random names like Gigi, Nemo, Squid, Athena, Zeus, and Ghost. Friends you can call when the elevator cart attacks you by, jumping off the platform and nearly landing on top of you. Friends you can trust with your deepest strongholds. I’ve been impressed lately how much we NEED each other in the body. And I look forward to heaven where there are no more “see-you-laters.” Even if you have the closest, dearest friends, there are still times of loneliness where God is the only one who can meet us there. He is more than sufficient to comfort us with Who He IS. Ps. 73:25-26 “I desire You more than anything on earth.”

Filming This Week
I appreciate your prayers for me this week as I work on a video promo for Enrichment conferences for NTM missionaries.   There are many details to think through.   Pray that I will really get to know the camcorder (purchased early this year) and get some great interviews while filming this week in Missouri.

Radio Stories Going Well
Thanks for praying for the editing of radio stories.  It has gone really well and we completed 15 of them on time in April.  I am really enjoying these – easy small things to finish.  Pray that we will reach our goal of 120 completed stories in the next few months.

Moi Video in Final Stages
The Moi video project has been transferred over to the guys in Nashville to work on.  I’ve still got some bonus features, etc to work on, as well as a bunch of other misc stuff. There is always more to do than can be done, so I’m just trusting the Lord to guide me.

Parent’s Ministry Change
On a personal note, my parents are moving to Florida this November.  It will be nice to have them closer by.  My dad has accepted a leadership position in NTM USA, where he’ll be in lots of meetings, answering doctrinal questions for the mission, traveling to the Bible schools every semester, and traveling overseas to be with former students.  It will be quite an adjustment after 27 years teaching at the Bible school, but my parents are trusting the Lord’s leading in this.  Please pray for their transition and wisdom in purchasing a house.
