We feel so blessed that an anonymous person offered to give us their air miles so we could fly out and see our grandson, Jaxon. Well, here we are in Colorado having a great time with Jaxon (with Jason and Tiffany, too) and of course taking lots of pictures. Just thought we’d share a few videos with you and you can check out a few of the pictures in our photo section, also. We will be back home in Florida after November 2.
Cody is Checking out Schools – He’d appreciate your prayers!

Cody logging in a few flight hours during his high school years.
Please pray for Cody as he checks out several schools in the area in preparation for getting his aircraft mechanics certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings. I think this just means that he will be qualified to work on airplane engines. He hopes to be a missionary pilot someday and this is the first step toward reaching that goal. After he gets his AP certification, then he hopes to get a job in airplane mechanics so he can finance the next step – getting his private and commercial pilot’s certificate and then airplane instrument rating. Phil’s Mom
Please pray for Phil’s mom. She was recently taken to the hospital with abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. At first they thought she might have to have colon surgery but have decided it is colitis. This is treatable so she should have been released from the hospital today. Please pray for her continued recovery.

Thanks for Praying!
Thank you for praying. Heather is back from her two trips and none the worst for jumping out of airplanes! Haley is back from her World Changers trip and I think they were a blessing and no one fell off of a roof or got hurt. Cody hasn’t decided where he will take pilot training but continues to work to make money for his first car and for schooling.
Burns’ June, 2009 Update
It is hot in Florida!! It is hard to believe that the 4th of July is almost here already. Hope you all enjoy the weekend. We will probably sit behind the mission on Lake Monroe and have a front seat to watching the Sanford fireworks for the 4th celebration. Read the rest of this entry »
Heather is “jumping” for joy!
Heather is pleased that she has already made two free fall jumps during her training in Colorado. She was afraid she would be sent home early if she didn’t do it right but so far she is still there. They had bad weather the first two days they were to jump but it cleared up Friday and they were able to jump twice. She will jump again tomorrow (Monday, June 15). She hasn’t done it perfectly but hopefully is improving. They get five jumps all together. Please pray for her safety, though I’m sure she’s having a blast – I worry a little about my little girl jumping out of airplanes!!

Haley’s in South Carolina!
Please pray for Haley this week as she left Saturday morning for South Carolina with about 19 other kids and 7 adults from our church. They have joined a group of about 400 from various churches as a part of World Changers. These kids will be doing various types of construction to help needy families with home improvement projects. Please pray for their safety and that they will have many opportunities to witness for the Lord. We hope their lives will be changed as well as the lives of those they serve.
