New Job!

Posted in Uncategorized on Sep 24th, 2007 | Discuss This Post

Jordan started a new job a week ago. We are praising God for this. It gives him enough to save for college expenses. His co-workers are hispanics. He talks Spanish all day at his work site and has become the go-between with his manager and the other workers.  We pray he’ll have golden opportunities to share the Lord with his co-workers.

Jordan: Upcoming plans

In January, Jordan will be entering NTM Bible Institute. He is working full time now and we are thankful for the great experience he is getting working on cars.

We ask you to pray for him as he looks to the Lord for provision for going to the Bible Institute.  He hasn’t had a lot of time to "save."  He is asking the Lord for a job that pays more so he can save toward his upcoming expenses.

Thank you for praying.

Thanking God for our partners

Settling into our home in South Carolina was step 1 for our home assignment. Reconnecting with family and friends has been on-going.  And it’s been great!

Singing English in an American church and understanding the sermon completely and thoroughly has been a huge encouragement!

Thank you for praying for us… for the finances and encouragement that you have sent us over and over again during our ministry in Paraguay.

Family Update:   Jordan is working full time. We are thankful for the job he has which is helping him prepare for life in the US. Please pray for his plans to enter NTM Bible Institute in January 2008. Our lives will dramatically change when he leaves home.

Lani is finishing high school by homeschool.  She has just a  few lessons in English left. She is also working at a local grocery store.  Please pray for her as she learns to drive, learns how to manage life in the US!

Paul and I are praying for opportunities to share what God has done in Paraguay. Please pray for open doors to share.  Thank you so much for your continual partnering with us in the Ayore ministry.

Ucarde is home!

Ucarde has been wanting to go home for a long time now.  Life in the Ayore village is hard for a blind man.  And his wife has been home for awhile now.

Home for Ucarde is Heaven!  Someday you will meet Ucarde, too. His blindness did not hinder his love for JesusChrist.  In church he would openly worship the Lord by clapping randomly when the message would touch his heart.

His life was hard but a blessing because of Jesus.  It’ll be great to see him again.
