Papua New Guinea is known as the "Land of the Unexpected".   That is an excellent description.  We live near the small town of Goroka in the mountainous area of the island.  Due to our altitude we enjoy cool evenings and summer-like days year round.  While Goroka has many modern conveniences (electricity, some stores, public transportation), most of the tribal villages are very remote with little to no interaction with what is modern.  The "light" of the gospel is illuminating many in these areas.  It is wonderful to see new life in many here in PNG.
