We were able to visit Spokane Turbine Center, which is the organization training the pilots flying the new Kodiak’s, and they allowed us to try the Kodiak simulator. This simulator is full motion built around an actual Kodiak cockpit and is quite accurate. I was surprised how realistic it was and I even got motion sickness in the short flight I made.
Off To Idaho!!
For the next 10 days I will be in northern Idaho doing some safety training. Mio and Nara stayed back in McNeal AZ at our place at NTM Aviation. We will be visiting Quest manufacturing next week to see NTM Aviations first new Kodiak. The new Kodiak is being built right now and scheduled to arrive at NTMA in mid November.
orientation has started..
Where are we most needed? One of the leaders told us this is the #1 question asked by new folks who arrive here for the last part of the training process. If I was to be honest, it is the main question on our mind now as well. This week during orientation we have been hearing about the various places NTM Aviation serves and the potential needs. We have also heard about how NTMA got it’s start and how God faithfully provided along the way. Please say a prayer for us that God would show us clearly where he would have us to serve.
…we made it!
We finally made it to McNeal, Arizona, home of New Tribes Mission Aviation. We arrived Thursday evening and began unpacking and settling in. The trip went well and Nara did better than we expected. After a bit of unpacking we went check out what was in the hangar and found this freshly rebuilt diesel Cessna 182. We are excited to be here and appreciate your prayers and support as we left Louisiana.
…packing again…
Missions Camp!!!!
This past week we had the opportunity to teach a class of 6th grade boys at Missions Camp at the Acadian Baptist Center. We had a great time interacting with the guys, talking missions and challenging them. Mio is still hanging in there (it was over 100 degrees a day or two this week) and waiting patiently.
…they said this would happen…
It was inevitable, not if, but when. I have officially run out of interesting happenings to share here this week. So I thought I would share some things we are praying about and ask you to join us when you think about us. We are still waiting on the baby, the doctor said there is still no dilation but that everything is on schedule. Besides being hot all the time, Mio is doing well. Her due date is July 7th, so only 18 more days. We are still praying about where the Lord will have us serve when we finish in Arizona next Spring. We will find out the needs when we arrive in AZ this fall and are praying that God leads us to where we can be most useful to the church planting efforts. We have been encouraged and blessed as we have visited with folks the last few weeks. We are grateful for the people God has put in our paths and encouraged by them more than we could ever share. Thanks for your prayers, and support, we are grateful.
