Praise God for a Van
On the way home from our trip to Cincinnati, we started having some trouble with a mini van that we have had for over 7 years. The hose leading to the water pump sprang a leak. We were able to make it home on water without the van overheating, but we started seeing the need to replace our van. It had 215,000 + miles on it, and more things were starting to show it’s age.
God provided a used mini van at an affordable price in August. It is 8 years newer, has less miles, engine is in good shape and the body is in tons better shape. A few weeks later we were able to sell our old van to help offset buying as well. We are enjoying the captain seats and added square footage. Praise God with us for giving us wisdom and the finances to purchase a “new” mini van.

We had some student friends living with us last week while they were packing all their belongings and cleaning their apartment. On Saturday morning we were both getting ready to leave and had suitcases all over the first floor of our house. In the hurried pace of the morning they ended up taking our kids suitcase with them to Missouri! Read the rest of this entry »

Florida in February
Since Nathan had US IT meetings in Sanford, we took the opportunity to come a few days early to meet with folks we work with via phone and e-mail. While we were packing for a trip to Florida, we had a hard time wrapping our minds around 78 degrees. Although Nathan wore shorts most of the time, I understood how the Floridians consider this, part of their winter. Read the rest of this entry »
