Crossing cultures…learning language… representing Christ in my lifestyle… adapting to a whole new way of life. This is what lies ahead, and it both excites and intimidates me.  God in His sovereignty and grace has led me this far and I am looking forward with great anticipation to what He has in store for the future.

In April 2007 I will arrive in Indonesia- on the island of Java where I’ll spend roughly 2 years learning Indonesian language and culture. I will be living in a mountain village with other missionaries as we attend school and learn to adapt to the culture.

During that time I’ll be prayerfully considering where in Indonesia God would have me serve- where my talents and abilities fit with the many needs across Indonesia.

I am looking forward to being involved in tribal church planting- whether by living in a tribal village and sharing God’s love with them personally, or by ministering in a support role in town. I know that my Father knows best, and I’m trusting Him to be clear when the time comes.
