“What if God told you not to plant a rice field but to go minister in another village this year?”
This is merely one of the questions believing tribal women are asking themselves as they begin to read God’s Word in their own language and apply it to their daily lives.
This last weekend I was privileged to worship the Lord with these precious ladies at their evening Bible Study. I loved hearing them share how the Word was convicting them and what they were learning. I also enjoyed the opportunity to “job shadow” the missionaries there. Observing the translation process was incredible- it’s a big job! It was fascinating to see firsthand how it all works.
If God prompts you today, take a moment to pray for these tribal believers and the choices they are making to follow Christ. Pray also for the translation work there, that the people would soon be able to hold a complete NT translation in their hands!
