Living in the largest string of islands in the world sure has it’s benefits!
In between setting up house and language learning I enjoyed a short trip to the south coast of Java with some friends. What a gorgeous beach and relaxing break before heading into full time languge study.
As per usual I got sunburned – spf does not quite have it’s usual protective power this close to the equator. I also enjoyed getting a peek into the local cutlure there- men wading up to their necks in order to fish in the cool of the day… an occasional local catching some waves on his surfboard… all sights rather unseen in the mountain town I live in.
Praising the Lord for the blessings He bestows!!
