Macon's Strout1

Macon is off to Germany for a conference with the European partner countries .  Pray for safe travel, good fellowship and that God will use this time to refresh and energize the leaders who are meeting in November. That God will raise up more co-workers from Europe to take the gospel to tribal people.

Pray for wisdom on the next video projects Macon should undertake.  Pray for effective leadership  and for talented additions to the NTM Communications team.

Katy's Email Sized Stroud

Katy travels to Ohio while Macon is in Germany, to visit her mother.  Pray for safe travel and good flights as she travels stand-by.  Pray for great fellowship with friends and family  members; for good health; and meaningful  relationships.

Family:

Jeremy and Judy Hare are well and settled into life in Guam. Praise they found a great church and are making good friends.  Natania began home school, piano lessons and golf lessons.  Thalia is now excited to go into Sunday School alone, and  she and Natania attend Pioneer’s Girls Club.

Daryl and Aleyda Young keep very busy with life and work in South Carolina.  Aly began her 3rd year of teaching and is doing well.

Vinny and Jessica Sergio stay busy with school and work.  Jessica graduates in December in Massage Therapy.  She will take the State Board exam in January. Pray she will have no difficulty in the licensing process.  She is hoping to continue Advanced study to get her degree in 2010.  Connie is enjoying pre-K and is now enrolled in dance class.  She makes a very cute ballerina.

PRAY CONNIE HOME

I want to go home, Grandma

I want to go home, Grandma

We brought our 3 year old granddaughter, Connie, to Guam to visit her cousins, Natania and Thalia Hare. We’ve had an absolutely great visit with lot’s of memory making fun,  but now it’s time to go home. The problem: all the flights are suddenly full heading back to the USA and standby passengers, like us, are left on the tarmac.   It will soon be a month since Connie has seen her parents, Vinny and Jessica Sergio.  Please pray with us that the flight loads will lesson and we will soon be able to travel back to the good ole’ USA.  In the interim we are flying to Manila, Philiappines for quick visit with NTM missionaries.

Pray we can catch a flight back Sept 10 to Orlando, FL.

LOST IN GUAM

Something Wrapped in Cardboard

Something Wrapped in Cardboard

We were able to travel to Guam to help Jeremy and Judy get moved into their new Apartment. After 5 weeks in a hotel and eating in restaurants they were ready to move in. Katy, Connie and I only had a week or so in the hotel and we were just as ready to move on.

Even with a moving company doing most of the work… it was still long and exhausting days. But things are coming together. First floor is ready and Judy trying to get the upstairs bedrooms arrainged. Jeremy getting lights, water, gas, phones, internet and TV ready. It has been some long days.

We are LOST or Stuck on Guam. One of the perks is we can fly on airline for very low cost as standbys. But with summer end, it seems every one in Guam and Japan heading for the Mainland. No standby seats for a week or so.

Seriously… it’s time for us to get back home and we appreciate your prayers that those all ellusive standby seats show up soon.

Meanwhile… I have been able to keep up with most of my work using email and internet.

Connie Checks The Flight Deck

Connie was able to visit Jeremy on the Flight Deck before we took off. She never stopped staring at the maze of lights and instruments. Connie is a great traveler.Jeremy then flew us from Japan to Guam, his new home and flight station.

Tomorrow we help Jeremy and family move into the new apartment.

HARE TODAY, GUAM CHUMORRO

Best Babysitting gig, ever: Fly to Guam. Watch the Grandbaby. We accompanied our son, Jeremy, wife, Judy and two granddaughters, Natania and Thalia, on their first foray into Guam life, culture and terrain. We all love it and think they will enjoy their time here while Jeremy flies Continental Micronesia. After looking at many rentals, they think they have a good idea of where they want to live when they move here the end of June.

Two days driving around the entire island and down hidden lanes brought incredible vistas and a better idea of what their new ‘home’ will offer. Thanks for praying about this move. Macon and I will miss them terribly but hope we will get over to see them often.

Jeremy setting it down on Pacific Island

Jeremy and family will be heading to Guam the end of May to find housing and check out their new Island home.  We hope to travel over as well, to help with the girls while Jeremy and Judy house hunt.  Please pray they find a safe, reasonable place to live, and for the transition as they move to Guam in June ‘09.
