About
Bible Translation/Church Planting
God is at work among the small group of Tepehuan believers who love the Lord and desire to serve Him. We see the Lord preparing faithful men and women who seek to know more of Him each day. The believers are a blessing to us as we watch them walk with God and make some difficult choices in their daily lives.
Kevin\’s main role on the Tepehuan team is Bible translation and church planting. The portions of the Old Testament needed for teaching creation to Christ are in the hands of the Tepehuan people. They also have the books of Mark, John, Acts, Romans and Ephesians to read in their own language. Right now Kevin is working his way through the revision for 1 Corinthians, 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus. Each book is at a different phase of the translation process.
Wendy is involved in the desktop publishing and secretarial phase of the work. She formats the portions as they are ready preparing them for printing. Part of her day is often spent with the Tepehuan women visiting, sewing, or just chatting. She also serves through hosting dental and medical clinics for the Tepehuan. Walking with co-workers to various locations as they teach in ladies homes is part of a normal week.
Your prayers are vital to our daily lives. Just like you, we need to keep our eyes focused on the Lord and what He has for each day. Sometimes our “normal” schedule is not so predictable, just like yours. Pray for our spiritual health and our relationships with those around us.
