Studying language and culture of the Morop: We are now in our second of four stages learning the Morop language. We spent most days just experiencing life with the Morop people. In order to understand the Morop people, we not only have to be able to speak to them in their language, but we also have to understand why they do the things they do so that we are able to present the Gospel in a relevant way.
Church Planting Time Line:
- Specialized Training: 4 – 4.5 years
- Partnership Development: 1 – 3 years
- Field Orientation: 6 months – 2 years
- Tribal Allocation: 6 months – 2 years
- Studying language and culture of the Morop: 2 – 5 years
- Teaching Bible lessons chronologically (evangelism): 6 months – 2 years
- Discipling tribal believers: 3 – 10 years
- Translating the New Testament: 8 – 15 years
- Equipping tribal people for church leadership: 5 – 10 years
