About
Oh, how to explain what we do here at the Bible School… let me count the ways:
I could explain what we do on a daily basis.
I could explain what we are endeavoring to accomplish in the lives of students.
I could explain what we endeavor to accomplish in the lives of tribal men and women.
Or, since I only have a little bit of room, I’ll try to concisely combine the explanation of all three into one.
Here goes:
On a daily basis, we are involved in the function of an institute of Biblical learning and study.
Tamara manages the student database in the mornings (as well as getting Emma, Josie and Addie ready for/off to class). She also sets up the grade-books and compiles end of class reports, sends out transcripts, keeps “the files” all organized and updated. In her "spare time" Tamara keeps up with making the house feel "homey" for the those students who need "homey" to make a connection.
At this point in time my primary ministry at the school is now in the Business Office. I am the accounts payable clerk for the school. Once again, I am learning that there is a whole lot that I do not know. This go-around, though I get to learn more computer based accounting and I am enjoying it. It’s been a ride.
Tamara and I are both part of the Campus Life Activities leadership team. We are responsible for planning events designed to foster fellowship and connections with and between students and staff. While all of these things keep us busy during the day, what we are really here for is this:
We are here to see men and women who have never heard the Gospel of Christ, hear the Gospel of Christ in their own language and experience the victorious, abundant Christian life as a direct result. We believe that God (in His sovereignty) has seen fit to use us here to accomplish this task. Our desire is to be an encouragement to students as they begin training with NTM so that they can, in turn, “Reach the Unreached.” We attempt to challenge their thinking about missions and their involvement in God’s plan to get THE message out, and the way they handle the Word of God in their lives.
It may sound crazy and complicated, and it is. We love it and are incredibly challenged everyday as we realize our inadequacies for this “job.” Pray with us, please.
