On November 17th, we were able to travel home to Texas for a week to be with our families for Thanksgiving. A friend of ours from Texas has a Cessna 205 and offered to fly us home and back. The flight went very smooth and took about 5 hours there and 5 hours back. It sure beat driving for 14 hours each way!
We got to spend alot of time with our families and friends. Our friends, the Majors, from Missouri came and spent 4 days with us and my brother was also able to drive down too. We had a full house at my parents on Thanksgiving Day!
The day after Thanksgiving, my family has a tradition of decorating the house for Christmas, making homemade pizza, and watching the classic, "It’s A Wonderful Life." Josh and I were also able to go out by ourselves for a whole day, something we haven’t done in over a year! Yea! It was a blessing to be able to spend some time together.
We are back into the groove of things here and Josh will start flying within a couple weeks. We are looking forward to going home again in 3 weeks for Christmas break!
