Preparing for Tribal Church Planting in Paraguay

About

The Goal

The goal of our ministry in nutshell form is this:  to go to an unreached people group who has never heard the good news of what Jesus has done for them and learn their language and culture so that we can tell them this good news.  We pray that they will believe it is true and will begin to grow in their relationship with their creator.  We also desire to be able to give them God’s precious Word in their own language so that they can read it for themselves.

Presently we are not involved in the church planting process, it still remains a future ministry.  On January 25th 2009 we decided to move forward in our church planting plans and officially begin moving towards a ministry in Paraguay. This is a very exciting time for us!

Paraguay has 7 tribal groups that still have not had the opportunity to hear the gospel in their own language. We will go to one of these. The groups range greatly in size (14,000 in Mbya, to only a couple hundred in the Guana) but all need Jesus desperately. We are excited that in the near future all Paraguayan tribal groups could have access to the gospel! We can only do this through our partnering with you to reach them.

Present Reality

Presently we are in training at the Missionary Training Center.  Here we are learning all the practical skills necessary to live and communicate Christ in a cross-cultural situation.  We are also deepening our walk with Christ, keeping first and foremost in our mind a reliance and submission to Him.  You could say we are in ministry now making the necessary preparations to take the gospel to the unreached.  If we are lazy now, we will not be prepared to take them Jesus’ good news.  If we labor now and continue laboring on the field, we will reap a harvest.  Our ministry has begun already!
