Grandma Joyce with her girls, Molly & Julia

Grandma Joyce with her girls, Molly & Julia

Hello from Panama! We’ve had such a special time with our Kuna friends. Once we get back home we’ll tell you all about it. But we wanted to let you know that yes, Baby Julia was born the night before we left for Panama (November 3rd). So we were able to meet our new granddaugher and hold her a few minutes. Mari and David are doing well, adjusting to life with two little ones. Molly enjoys being the big sister and a helper for Mom.

We’ll be in touch soon when we get home and have more time!

Little Reed is doing well!

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

7-little-reedThanks for your prayers for our one year old grandson, Reed. His surgery went great and he is recovering quickly. Ryan & Pam are a bit tired from some sleepless nights and the extra care needed with the bandaging. But we all are thankful the surgery is behind us.

Feeling Better

6-joyceAll our travels from January through April really took a toll on Joyce’s health. After close monitoring and changes to some medications, she is doing much better! We are praising God that she feels well again and has energy.

walking the last one down the aisle!

Walking the “Baby” down the aisle…where did those years go? Just seems like a few days ago we were praying for you and waiting for you to be born, dreaming of this day and the man that God was preparing for you! (more…)

See you soon, Mom!

Four Generations: Dad and Mom Dysart, Jerry and Joyce, David and Mari, with little MollyHow thankful we are for the wonderful times we shared together, just days before Mom unexpectedly suffered massive strokes and later went to be with her Lord. She was able to meet her first great-grandbaby.

Some family members have already arrived here in FL for the Memorial Service to be held next Wednesday. Other family members are flying in during the next days. We appreciate your continued prayers as we finalize details and encourage Mom’s many friends and family members. (more…)

Progress Report

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

Thanks for your prayers for Joyce’s health. Today was the first time that her tests came back good.

The medicines are beginning to make a difference. Looks like she’ll be ready to travel the beginning of May to Bolivia for the Latin American leadership conference.

One week after surgery

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

Jerry resting after surgeryJerry has made it through that first difficult week after surgery for a herniated disk in his neck. Every day we notice a bit more movement and strength in his arm and less pain. Please continue to pray that the numbness will go out of his right hand.

The blender has been my best friend as I fix “meals” for Jerry. I’ve experimented with all kinds of milk shakes…from pumpkin pie spice to peach!

Thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers!

Little better each day!

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

We are so thankful that Jerry’s surgery went well. Now he’s in the hard stage of patiently recovering.

Please pray that the numbness in his right hand will go away and for complete healing from the surgery. We would love to keep our plans and travel to Latin America for a tribal church planting conference in early January!

Surgery for Jerry

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

No turkey this Thanksgiving for Jerry...only milk shakes and jello!

We have appreciated your prayers and concern as Jerry has been really suffering with a herniated disk in his neck affecting his shoulder and whole right arm. We tried medications, physical therapy and other things that were recommended, but nothing has helped with the pain and numbness. He has completely lost the reflex in his right arm. So he will be having surgery on Tuesday afternoon, November 20th. Because it involves the spine, surgery is a little delicate. We appreciate your prayers that the surgery will go well and for a quick recovery.

Some of God’s miracles are small!

8-days-old-020We praise God for the safe birth of little Molly Annalise McDaniels, born on May 18, to David and Mari. Molly weighed 6 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches tall.

Joyce and I are so thankful for the days that we had visiting them in Nebraska. Now they seem even farther away!
