These are some tornado photos that were emailed to me earlier this month. The email claims they were taken near Orangeville August 20th, the day the F2 Tornado hit Durham.

The newsletter featuring the F2 Tornado which hit Durham

It is still the talk of the town—the tornado which ripped through Durham August 20. It is hard to beleive a month has passed already.

One of the reasons I love my ministry so much is that I have some flexibility. With my passion for graphic design, I love helping with the GPS newsletter from NTMC.

TORNADO FOOTAGE

Here is a video a friend of ours (Nico Masse) made about the tornado that hit Durham (and specifically New Tribes) last week. It gives a pretty comprehensive look at the damage.

It really is quite a blessing from God that no one at New Tribes was hurt and the damage wasn’t worse.

TORNADO HITS DURHAM

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

This afternoon a tornado cleared a swath through Durham. From our kitchen window we watched it cross the school yard across the street from our house. Our home wasn’t damaged at all, but the neighbour’s trailer was “relocated”.

Thank the Lord with us that we are safe.

We have heard that the Academy at the New Tribes HQ had severe damage to the roof, and that a path of trees are damaged.

The media is already reporting at least one death in town as a result of the tornado.
