Boxing Kangaroos (outside our house)
You have all heard of boxing kangaroos, and you may have seen some videos before. For us we often have Kangaroos just out our back door, but the following video was too entertaining not to share. Sarah got this on camera just 2 days ago (read the rest to see the video).

Jellyfish and Redbacks and Snakes… Oh My!
The past few weeks I have had more encounters with venomous creatures than I have the whole 3 years that we have been here.

Laodicea, Salvation and Common Eisegesis
Do you ever have those times when someone throws a bible verse out to make a point yet the context of the verse has nothing to do with the subject at hand? Well this happened to me recently with some verses, but the interesting thing with Revelation 3:15-16 is that without historical knowledge it is very easy to take the verse out of context. A little rule I keep in mind, apart from “Context is King” and the usual historical, gramatical exegetical rules, is that when the explanation of the verse does not fit God’s character then it is time to look deeper.
So a statement like “God would prefer someone to be unsaved than them be a lukewarm Christian” is both out of context and does not fit the character of God!
The verses are not talking about salvation!
