Reunited
This is a rare show of affection in the I-Wak culture when Loli embraced Jacob. The Igorots or the mountain people do not show physical affection very often. The most we have seen is at funerals. March marks one of the bitterest sweet months of our lives. In the tribe we had a huge pomelo tree up the hill and when it bloomed you could smell it throughout the village.The pomelo is a bitter sweet fuit with a thick skin. Going the Distance

A Greater Plan
Have you ever thought you were part of a bigger plan?
There were times in the tribe like that for us. When we finished teaching 9 months of teaching through the bible, it all culminated with the finished work of Christ. Birth Announcement: I-Wak Church Begins
Last March our partners, the Harmons, came to a decision that they could no longer minister in the Philippines due to health reasons. This left a great hole in the I-Wak work as there was no one left to minister to the people. But by God\’s grace a neighboring tribal group that had been reached by missionaries back in the eighties have sent out a family and a single lady to fill in. Read the rest of this entry »
