“Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you…” (Col 4:12-13)

New Year Praise & Prayer
Praise & Prayer – December 2009

Be Prepared!
Be prepared! Robert Baden-Powell explained this famous motto of the Scouting Movement he founded as, “You have to be prepared at any moment to face difficulties and even dangers by knowing what to do and how to do it.” This same explanation can be applied to the need for emergency planning & preparedness in mission work.

Giving Thanks Always
"The Christian who walks with the Lord and keeps constant communion with Him will see many reason for rejoicing and thanksgiving all day long." – Warren Wiersbe
This is a glorious time of year. It is a time when we pause to give thanks for the many blessings we have received from the Lord’s hand during the past year. In fact, we are exhorted in Scripture to be thankful each and every day, not just on the special day we call "Thanksgiving."

Paraguay Proceedings
The passengers filed down the stairs from the just-arrived airliner to the buses waiting on the tarmac. Each wore the government-required surgical mask & gloves. Disembarking at the terminal, each was subjected to an electronic scan to detect Swine Flu. Such was our welcome to Buenos Aires, Argentina, on our way to Paraguay.
