Wednesday was Savannah’s appointment to follow-up on the leg surgery she had back in August 2007.  What we found out was really good news, but it could mean another surgery in six months.

Can you think of a better investment than this?

When you invest money you give it to someone else to use. You lose control of it for a period of time. They make use of your money to accomplish their purposes, and for the privilege of doing that, they promise to give you back the money, plus a little more than you gave them in the first place.

IMG_4867_blogMy recent trip to the Philippines was the first overseas trip I’ve taken by myself, and what an adventure it turned out to be! I had several delays and I missed two of my flights. Under the circumstances I should have been scared and pretty frustrated with all the things that went wrong, and at first I was.

When I went to the Philippines it wasn’t for the purpose of going on a mission’s trip. I went to the Philippines to visit a missionary family that I had known there. My parents went through missionary training with them and so I’ve known them pretty much my entire life.

Katrina is on her way to the Philippines.

Ever since I was in 9th grade I had planned on taking a trip home to the Philippines to visit some friends. Over this past summer I was able to email with a family I knew over there and they invited me to come visit them.

I immediately took them up on their offer and started to save money up for the trip. I have been able to get a plane ticket and make plans for what I’m going to do when I get to the Philippines.
