Wednesday was Savannah’s appointment to follow-up on the leg surgery she had back in August 2007. What we found out was really good news, but it could mean another surgery in six months.
Return On Investment With no Risk
When you invest money you give it to someone else to use. You lose control of it for a period of time. They make use of your money to accomplish their purposes, and for the privilege of doing that, they promise to give you back the money, plus a little more than you gave them in the first place.

Coming back to the office Monday after taking a three day weekend to go camping with Caleb felt a little like receiving an electric shock as punishment for having done something wrong.
God Alone
My recent trip to the Philippines was the first overseas trip I’ve taken by myself, and what an adventure it turned out to be! I had several delays and I missed two of my flights. Under the circumstances I should have been scared and pretty frustrated with all the things that went wrong, and at first I was.
Reliving Memories
When I went to the Philippines it wasn’t for the purpose of going on a mission’s trip. I went to the Philippines to visit a missionary family that I had known there. My parents went through missionary training with them and so I’ve known them pretty much my entire life.

Katrina to the Philippines
Ever since I was in 9th grade I had planned on taking a trip home to the Philippines to visit some friends. Over this past summer I was able to email with a family I knew over there and they invited me to come visit them.
I immediately took them up on their offer and started to save money up for the trip. I have been able to get a plane ticket and make plans for what I’m going to do when I get to the Philippines.

Katrina preparing to leave
Katrina has been preparing to leave home for a long time. Not because she doesn’t like living at home, but she knows she is being called to live beyond herself. When one of Katrina’s best friends from the Philippines sent an invitation to attend her wedding, it provided an excellent opportunity. I’ll let Katrina tell her story from here:
A large pot of tea and a stack of articles
That is black loose leaf tea in case you’re interested. Reading and editing articles for NTM.org is something that I do on a daily basis. Today it has really gotten out of hand.
