Training Indonesian Missionary Candidates

About

Cassel Family 001Our ministry can be summed up by 2 Timothy 2:2 where Paul tells Timothy to pass on to faithful men that which he has learned, so that they too may go and teach others who will then do likewise.

Our course here at the Indonesian MTC (missionary training center) consist of 2 phases taking a total of 4 years. The first phase is our Foundations course, giving our students 3 semesters of foundational bible teaching, after which they return to their home church for 1semester  in order to put into practice what they have learned and to be involved in partner development. This is done through relationships with their churches and others who may desire to partner with them in their ministry.

The 2nd phase consist of 2 years, the first year bringing them into a deeper understanding of their walk with the Lord and New Testament Church planting principles in a tribal setting. In their 3rd year they embark upon the unknown territory of Culture and Language Aquisition or CLA for short. These are the technical tools used for learing the tribal culture and language. Tools  vital to being able to communicate God’s Word in the heart language of the people they are ministering to.
