We strictly eat whole foods not only because they are good for us but also because we have really come to prefer it. These ingredients are abundant in Southern California, but we wondered how available they’d be here in the Philippines? New Food

There is a little place about a two minute walk away from our apartment, that makes AMAZING food. The price is definitely affordable and with us unpacking and getting settled, it has been great to not have to worry about meals.
Most everything is in English here, but not the menu at this place. So, we weren’t sure, no actually we had no idea what we were going to get. I HATE seafood, and since this is an island, I was a bit nervous that it would be fish or squid or something. But it turned out to be beef and chicken, and it turned out to be really delicious! The beef “stew” in the baggies was especially good. We think they’ve made some faithful customers!

Sick Daniel
Daniel is cute and friendly and has blond hair, so what does that mean here? It means he gets attention… LOTS of attention. Everywhere we go, Daniel is smiled at, touched, waved to, talked about… we are quite the spectacle! He is totally riding the wave of his new found fame, but me? I am torn. (more…)
