I (Tony) was born in Wisconsin, I'm from Minnesota and I grew up in Brasil South America until I graduated from high school in 1992. I was saved at a very young age. I have been exposed to missions all of my life and in high school knew that I would like to be involved in some way although I had no idea how at the time. After Tara and I were married in 1996, we then started on our journey of becoming involved with planting tribal churches, with New Tribes Mission. Our family (now including Scarlett , 10 years, and Logan, 7 years) is currently working with the Inanbimali people of Papua New Guinea. I (Tara) was born in Kentucky and became a christian at the age of 4. When I was 12 years old my parents decided to enter into the New Tribes Missionary training. Because of my age, I had a difficult time adjusting to the thought of living overseas. In 1991 my family moved to Bolivia, South America. I had 3 years of high school in the missionary school. The Lord really worked in my life during that time. When I graduated in 1994 being a missionary was not part of my plans. But I knew that I needed to be grounded in the Word of God more so I decided to enter New Tribes Bible School. And that is where I met Tony. We started dating in 1995 and got married in Dec. 1996. We have two children. Scarlett loves to read books and Logan loves anything to do with sports!! We are currently homeschooling them in the tribe. Scarlett is in 5th grade and Logan is in 2nd grade. |
