Daily Scripture

"And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long."

Psalm 35:28

JOSIAH IS DOING GREAT!

June 27, 2007

Josiah is walking and getting into everything. He is also a climber like his big brother, Jacob.

Josiah is also talking. His vocabulary right now consists mostly of sounds of animals and machines. But he also uses words that cause an action, like “eat,” “up,” and “bang.”  Nouns include “ball,” “dog,” “banana,” and, of course, “duck” – his favorite animal.

He loves music, especially the drums.

Josiah is very friendly, so the Siawi people love him.  He likes to shake hands with everyone who comes his way.

Thankfully he has not had any more severe allergic reactions. Eggs and milk were the culprit, so we are actively keeping him away from these products. We don’t even have any eggs in the house and hardly any milk products. And we watch carefully to make sure prepared items don’t contain dairy or egg.

Josiah can have soy milk. So we have learned to substitute soy milk in recipes. We have also learned egg substitutes that we can use.

  • Praise the Lord that Josiah has not had any more severe allergic reactions, and pray that he doesn't get them again.
  • Pray that we can have a consistent supply of soy milk.
