Daily Scripture

"And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness and of Your praise all the day long."

Psalm 35:28

PRECIOUS IN HIS SIGHT

Kofele`s baby boy

Kofele`s baby boy

June 26, 2007

"Know that the LORD, He is God; it is He who has made us..."  (Psalm 100:3).  Praise the Lord that He gives life to all people.

Kofele, a young woman of about 20, had a baby boy on Sunday, June 24th. Shortly after she was married, she became pregnant and got sick. Her young husband decided that he did not want a sick wife so her "gave" her back to her father, Kwaelom. During her pregnancy, we treated her for chronic malaria and anemia. Several weeks ago, we became concerned about possible toxemia, and sent her out to the hospital.  She fainted during labor and was rushed to the OR for an emergency C-section. The doctors said had she remained in the bush, she would not have lived.

  • Praise the Lord for leading us to send Kofele out to the hospital.

Wamase also had a baby boy. This little one has been struggling with infection for several days. He is currently on the strongest antibiotic available in the village and is improving. On June 26th, the family went to the bush so we will not see them for a few days.

  • Pray that Wamase will not give up on her baby and that she will be faithful to give him his medication.
