The Siawi people live a simple life near the earth’s equator. Their days are not crowded with the busyness that we are accustomed to as Westerners. Finding food and gathering firewood are their two main occupations.
They have only a few books – all of them are books of the Bible translated into their language by missionaries.
Their simple, unencumbered lifestyle provides them with time to read and ponder God’s Word. This pondering leads to many questions and they are very hungry for answers.
Sadly, because they lack the skills of discernment, some have sought for answers from sources that have twisted God’s Word and turned the truth into a lie. There is widespread confusion among the Siawi people about different biblical concepts.
We praise God that He has brought us back to Siawi for such a time as this. The Siawi baby believers are hungry and need to be fed.
Please pray for us to have wisdom in answering questions.
Pray that Tom’s language skills would continue to improve so that he can accurately communicate the truth.
Pray that the believers will hear, understand, and walk in the truth.
