There are bright spots in a difficult situation in the Chamacoco church.
Church leadership has been turned over to Chamacocos, who have had problems with unity for several months.
"Without being unified they will not be able to minister well in their community, and toward one another," wrote Steve and Monica Gutzmer. The Gutzmers served among Chamacocos, but now serve in roles that support other church-planting ministries in Paraguay.
"Pray that the Chamacoco believers would grow spiritually and meet together," wrote Randy Steel, who also worked among them and also now supports other ministries in Paraguay.
Chrispolo and Pablo are bright spots among the church leaders, the Gutzmers wrote. Under their leadership, the teen ministry is said to be going well.
"They have also been involved in helping some of the church members resolve conflict," the Gutzmers wrote. "We are confident that the Lord is at work in the hearts and lives of these believers."
