The greatest part of Tim's growing up years were the summers. Not just because there was no school going on but because of the Refresher Course for furloughing missionaries that took place annually in his home town of Roach, Missouri. He was constantly challenged by the work of overseas missionaries through their testimony and films they showed of their work in the schools and villages. Later, just after graduating from an international missionary kids school in the Philippines, Tim was challenged to go to college and receive training to work with school children. As a teenager, Jenn was challenged by a New Tribes missionary to take a short term missions trip to Brazil. She was able to see God quickly raise sufficient funds to go. While there, on her seventeenth birthday, a young tribal mother died of tetnus. This was the first person that Jenn knew had died without having accepted Christ's redeeming work on the cross. Jenn was challenged to work in an NTM missionary children's school someday. God was to bring us together in Calvary Bible College where me met and eventually got married. We now have two young boys, Matthew and Nathan. They truly are gifts from the Lord and we are thankful we have the responsibility to raise them to know, love and serve their Heavenly Father. |
