The Kalanguya people in the Philippines are meeting together to fellowship and study God's Word in many areas. They have just begun a Saturday morning bi-monthly fellowship meeting with believers from various villages.
Missionary Bob Bagley and two Kalanguya Bible teachers taught a lesson and several gave testimonies of what God was doing in their lives. There was also special music including a song from a talented harmonica player. The believers themselves decided to begin these meetings. The teaching responsibilities and the place of meeting will rotate among the villages.
Bob is encouraged with the considerable increase in men attending the Sunday meetings. A new Bible study has begun with men from several villages attending. They are studying through the book of Ephesians.
Kalanguya men, women and children are all meeting for Bible studies at different times. Last Saturday two of the girls attending the meetings for young people recited 25 Scripture verses from memory. Bob was thankful that they will now be able to recall some of the truths of God's Word.
Pray that the Kalanguya church leaders, Alyon, Jimmy and Gerry, will continue to grow in the Lord and be a good testimony in their families and to the church.
Pray also that through these various meetings the believers will mature in their walk with the Lord and that they will reach out to others who do not know the Lord.
