Karen tribe, Thailand (October 30th, 2009): Two Karen believers are planning to be married Monday. A traditional Karen ceremony requires rituals involving the spirits of the family clans. The couple’s families are discussing the ceremony with missionaries. "Our desire is for a Karen wedding that glorifies God and is not associated with the spirits or spirit worship," wrote Richard and Wendy Rees. Please pray for wisdom.

Thailand (September 30th, 2009): Grace International School -- which serves the children of NTM missionaries in Thailand and many others -- is appealing a ruling that requires them to turn over their facility to a neighborhood association and pay a fine of more than $140,000. Pray that however God chooses to work this out, the ministries of hundreds of missionaries served by Grace will not be disrupted, and that in all things, God’s name will be glorified.

 

Karen tribe, Thailand (September 1st, 2009): Two Karen men -- one a believer, one not -- died Saturday, and the contrasts were huge. Thank God for the peace and comfort that Mo Bu’s family has, and pray that the other family will be drawn to Jesus. Find out more -- read the story >>

 

Karen tribe, Thailand (August 27th, 2009): A believer’s father is dying, and some Karens are pressuring them to consult the spirits and hold a traditional funeral. Believers are encouraging them to stand firm. Pray that they make a wise choice. Find out more -- read the story >>

 

Prai tribe, Thailand (August 17th, 2009): New people have been coming to hear evangelistic Bible teaching and a couple of ladies have shown a keen interest. Please pray that Prai believers Dee and Shy will be able to clearly present the Gospel and that more Prais will believe in Christ.

 

Bru tribe, Thailand (August 13th, 2009): Though Scripture has been translated in the Bru language, most Brus still prefer their Thai Bible even though they may not comprehend it. Prai tribe, Thailand (July 20th, 2009): In difficult circumstances, two Prai men are learning to trust God. Khaam is learning a bit more, as his circumstances have gotten worse. Pray that these men will be strong and steadfast. Find out more -- read the story >>

 

Pwo Karen tribe, Thailand (July 17th, 2009): Missionaries recently visited a large group of Pwo Karen people to assess the possibility of planting a church among a group that speaks a particular dialect. Prai tribe, Thailand (March 10th, 2009): Praise God that two young women, See and Malee, who have been studying evangelistic Bible lessons with a Prai believer, Won, have placed their faith in Christ. Pray for their faith to grow stronger as they face the experience of beginning their new life.
