[RYAN] was born in Wisconsin. When he was six years old, he moved to Papua New Guinea with his family as missionaries. After the completion of high school, Ryan knew that the Lord wanted him to use his life to be a part in bringing the gospel to unreached people groups. Ryan went to New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, WI where he met Melissa.

[MELISSA] was born in California. Her family moved to Colombia, South America when she was five as missionaries. They also served in Mongolia and Venezuela. Following her graduation from High school in southern California, Melissa went to New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, WI where she was challenged to also have a part in taking the gospel message to people who have yet to hear about Jesus Christ.

[TOGETHER] We were married in July of 2004. We enjoyed two wonderful years of marriage in Oostburg, Wisconsin where we worked, were involved in our home church (Sheboygan Evangelical Free Church), and Melissa studied nursing. In August 2006 we began missionary training with New Tribes Mission to become tribal church planters. Now we are in our second year of training.
