Missionaries Tony and Lauren Finch are delighted that a group of young men from a church in Norfolk, Nebraska, will be arriving soon in the Central Tarahumara village in Mexico where they minister.
Dale Taylor, a former co-laborer in the Central Tarahumara work, is leading the group. "Included in the group," wrote Lauren, "is his youngest daughter, Melissa, who is like a daughter to us. I'll be blessed to have Melissa's help!"
The team will be driving 30 hours one way and much of the trip is through "tornado alley" in Nebraska, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Please pray for safety on the long trip. They will be doing some work projects for the Central Tarahumara church and will also do some projects for the Finches. Tony hopes to involve the team in handing out dried beans and other food items to needy Central Tarahumaras. A financial gift from some concerned individuals enabled the missionaries to meet this need.
Tony and his co-worker Fernando will be working on translating the book of Luke while the team is there. They ask prayer that they will view each interruption as from the Lord and that they will have wisdom from the Lord in translation principles.
