Fifteen Central Tarahumara believers and missionaries Tony and Lauren Finch will travel across a canyon to a Northern Tepehuan village where a baptism takes place tomorrow.
Several Northern Tepehuans and a local Mexican rancher have recently accepted Christ. They will be baptized along with one of the missionary children.
The Central Tarahumaras were asked to help in the baptism to show that Christianity is for everyone not just the missionaries. Tony and Lauren are excited because this will be the first time that many of the Northern Tepehuan have met Christians from other tribal groups.
The trip is only 18 minutes by air. Unfortunately they aren't flying. Instead, the trip will take seven to eight hours by truck. Tony will need to go a little slower because most Central Tarahumara are not used to traveling by vehicle for any length of time.
Tony expressed his thanks for the large truck provided by his supporters. Without it he would have had to make several trips across the canyon.
Pray for safety as Tony and Lauren and the Central Tarahumaras travel to the Northern Tepehuan village. Pray also for the Northern Tepehuan as they make a bold profession of their belief in Christ.
