CHIHUAHUA, Mexico: Missionaries Andrew Ferguson and Barry Wingo arrived Friday night for a Sunday town meeting, but on Saturday morning they found out that the meeting was rescheduled for the following Sunday.
It was another disappointment for the two men who wanted to address the people's fears and suspicions about why the missionaries want to live among the Tepehuan people.
The men did receive a vote of confidence though as they were able to talk to several village leaders. Each leader indicated there would be no problem with Andrew and Barry continuing to build their homes in the Tepehuan village.
"There is reason to have a great hope that these Tepehuans will continue to allow us to live there, and one day they will hear the Gospel," wrote Andrew. "We are going to get both houses ready and hope to start living out there … around June or July."
The new schedule delays their original move in date, but Andrew and Barry are thankful that they can still push forward in their desire to reach the Tepehuans for Christ.
