Tepehuan believers are learning and growing in their faith.
Sunday the missionaries met with Tepehuan believers at Juan and Cleotilde's house.
Cleotilde greeted the ladies with a huge hug and a glimmer in her eyes. Hugging is not a Tepehuan thing to do.
Juan prayed and thanked God for His care of them through the difficult time of losing their twins. He then went on for some time praying for the missionaries.
"We have been patiently waiting for God to move the Tepehuan believers into corporate prayer," wrote missionary Starr Arnold. "It is exciting to hear that Juan is growing in boldness and trust in our Savior."
Cesario, a 17-year-old Tepehuan believer, taught the kids while the adults studied the Word together. Missionary Irv Bauman has been discipling Cesario into this teaching role and is very encouraged with Cesario's progress.
"We have longed for the day to see 'signs of life' in the lives of the believers," wrote Matt Arnold.
"Philippians 1:6 'For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus' has been a verse that I have claimed in my own life," wrote Starr. "It is fun to watch it's fulfillment in the lives of my Tepehuan brothers. Thanks for praying! God is moving and using your prayers!"
Pray for continued spiritual growth and fellowship among the Tepehuan believers.
