Daily Scripture

"I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I wil praise You among many people."

Psalm 35:18

"DADDY WAS MARRIED..."

August 18, 2007

by Tasha

One day last year as I was working in the house I heard Nathaniel our then 4 year-old singing a song he learned listening to an AWANA scripture tape.

"Daddy was married and he ROSE da-dead!"  I heard him singing softly over and over again. I listened to see if I was hearing him say what I thought he was saying.

I was. He was singing about his daddy getting married and then rising from the dead.  Oh NO!

I realized he had understood something different than what was on the tape.  The verse is, "And that He was buried and He rose again".

How precious that little ones can sing from their hearts praising God even though they don't quite know the words!

That's like me sometimes, I praise God, but at times the words get a little mixed up or are just wrong, but it still brings joy to the Father, my Father, to hear my child like praise.
