The Move from Paraguay
To
Bolivia

About a year ago an old friend who works in Bolivia emailed Dee and I and suggested we consider doing the same survey work that we have been doing in Paraguay for the last 5 years. As it worked out last March the leadership of Bolivia extended an invitation to Dee and I to come and work in Bolivia.

As soon as God revealed His plan for our future we started liquidation of all we could not take to Bolivia. As it worked out we were able to find homes for almost all we had to liquidate. Tourist visas were then obtained and by the end of April we were on our way to Bolivia.

Since arriving here I have been involved with a team surveying the Guarayu ethnic group. The information that was gathered on that survey has led to the decision by the field leadership to work toward developing a team to work amongst the Guarayu people.

The Guarayu ethnic group has about 15,000 people in numerous villages.  Although some have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ, most have not.  There is a great need for laborers to learn the language and culture of these people and share the good news that God wants them to hear.

Getting to the villages was a challenge as all the rivers were swollen well above flood stage in flooding that was more than usual.

We thank God for His grace toward us as we have changed fields of service and are making new friends and learning different culture.  He has given His grace to leave dear friends and a place we loved very much.  He always opens doors for us to walk through by faith.

The singing and testimonies lasted for 4 hours. It was so exciting that it didn't seem like that long. Some of the testimonies were of repentant believers telling how they came back into fellowship with God. Others quoted Scripture they had memorized and how God is using His word in their daily lives.
