Two people.
One purpose.

To know Him and
make Him known.

"Ecclesiastes 4:910 "Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion."

Get to know us...

Ric
Ric grew up in Venezuela, South America as a New Tribes missionary's child until he turned 17 years old. Some fond memories from his childhood include building projects with his dad, water skiing on the Orinoco river, and driving motorcycles on jungle paths. While there, he experienced tribal missions up close and after high school decided to attend New Tribes Bible Institute in Jackson, Michigan. There he learned more about God's heart for the world and became convicted that he should share the good news of the gospel with others. After his time at NTBI, Ric became a missionary intern at his home church in Lansing, Michigan.

Sharon
Sharon grew up in Haslett, Michigan and attended a local baptist church until she went to college. As a child she remembers hearing missionary stories and challenges that helped give her a heart for the unreached. She enjoyed running, playing the clarinet, and dance in high school and planned to attend Grand Valley State University until she felt the Lord calling her to New Tribes Bible Institute in Jackson, Michigan. She also grew more aware of the calling God had placed on the church to reach into this world's darkness with the penetrating light of the gospel and decided to dedicate her life to the task.

Together
Ric and Sharon have known each other since high school, having met when Ric's parents returned from Venezuela in 2002. By chance they were partnered up on an inner city mission trip to Chicago, Illinois in the summer, making them fast friends. They soon discovered many mutual interests and developed a healthy friendship that lasted two years. When both were certain they would go into missionary work, they began dating in the summer of 2004, became engaged in the summer of 2005, and married in April of 2006.

Interests
We love to hike. In fact, we love it so much we went on a two month, seven hundred mile trek through the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine on the Appalachian Trail in 2006. Our other interests are mostly limited to the mundane realm of reading books, studying God's Word, and hanging out with friends.

Our Partnership...

We count it our greatest blessing to have met one another and a great privilege to work for the completion of the bride of Christ together. We intend to serve the Lord in full-time ministry overseas and to support and love each other despite the difficult times we may face. We believe God has brought us together for this purpose and we thank and praise Him for giving us the confidence and strength we need as we pursue this course. As we move forward by faith we seek to bring glory to God by seeing the job through to the finish or until the Lord returns.
