Like Awayo and his people, most live in fear of spirits that they believe control everything. Life is a struggle to find enough food and keep the spirits satisfied -- not necessarily in that order.
Local churches partner with New Tribes Mission to give them opportunities to know Jesus. As in the First Century, missionaries establish mature churches so disciple-making continues and spreads to other villages and neighboring tribes.
