The
Daily Bulletin and Weekly Digest give opportunities for timely
intercession. Here are some recent answered prayer requests.
Panama:
April 19: Pilots are flying the NTM mission plane from Panama to the NTM Aviation center in the USA this week. The flight will take four days. Pray for smooth passage through immigration checkpoints. Pray too for good weather.
April 26: Thank you for praying. God was at the controls. Missionary pilots brought Panama 's mission plane safely to Arizona last week! The flight program is no longer needed in Panama . Pray for remaining missionaries to finish strong in the Naso tribe.
Mexico: Tarahumara tribe: April 21: Missionary Tim Roberts is teaching chronological Bible lessons to Tarahumaras Nacho and Juana every day this week. Nacho has been trained to become a witch doctor. Pray for Nacho and Juana to be saved!
April 26: Missionary Tim Roberts taught chronological Bible lessons to Tarahumaras Nacho and Juana every day last week. He wrote on Friday, "Thank you so much for your prayers for Nacho and Juana. They both placed their confidence in Christ … this morning ... Praise His Holy Name and give thanks with us for adding to the church here in Rocoroybo!"
Papua New Guinea: Manam tribe:
March 31, 2004 – Missionaries
Alton and Cheryl Shady are preparing for evacuation from Manam
island in the Madang region. Volcanic activity indicates an
imminent eruption. The Shadys are planning to leave the island
on Friday. Pray that they will have the transportation needed
and that they will be able to prepare their house for the
expected eruption.
April 20, 2004 – Thank you
for praying! The volcano on Manam island did not erupt as
expected. Missionaries Alton and Cheryl Shady with their children
are safe.
Papua New Guinea: Siawi
tribe:
April 2, 2004 – Missionaries
Tom Brendle and Jason Swanson persevere to teach Siawi Bible
lessons amid disruptions. Pray for strength and focus for
the team. Pray that many Siawis will be saved.
April 6, 2004 – Evangelistic
Bible teaching in the Siawi language has attracted people
from other tribes. Two men from the Amto tribe are asking
deep questions. They want to teach in their own village.
April 8, 2004 – A Siawi man
Nebee shows renewed interest in the Word.
Ivory Coast:
March 25, 2004 – Violence
broke out in a number of areas in the city of Abijan today.
Tension remains high after more than 10 people were killed
and many more wounded. Pray for NTM missionaries Jim and Marge
Finnamore, Theo and Martha Enns and Lesley Wolfe, who are
in the city.
April 14, 2004 Missionaries in Abidjan have
been protected from recent violence. One missionary was able
to visit the tribal village where he had worked, and NTM plans
to allow more missionaries to return to their ministries later
this year. Pray for safety and guidance from the Lord.
