	 <description><![CDATA[ <p><a href="http://www.ntm.org/png/news_details.php?news_id=10614"><img align="left" border="0" src="http://www.ntm.org/uploads/news/thumbs/newsAP(10614)_img.jpg" alt="Uriay teachers are happy to teach their neighbors to read and write." style="margin:0 5px 5px 0" /></a>Uriay literacy teachers in Papua New Guinea are excited about their part in teaching their neighbors to read and write.</p><p>They are learning to use the teaching manual as a resource and how to prepare for the daily classes.</p><p>&quot;Please pray that the Lord uses the coming 12 weeks to develop deep relationships with the ten students attending classes,&quot; asked missionaries Elias and Jose Struik.</p><p>The missionaries took the opportunity last week to inform the village leaders that they are preparing an intense teaching schedule. They will be teaching evangelistic Bible lessons beginning with Creation and progressing to the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. The missionaries will teach five days a week starting in June and continuing for three to four months building daily on God's message for the Uriays.</p><p>The team reminded the Uriay leaders that all the preparation work will soon culminate in the teaching lessons.</p><p>&quot;Pray for the Lord to move in the hearts and minds of people, that many will enter into a living relationship with God through understanding the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ,&quot; wrote Elias.</p> ]]></description>
