Island Medical Clinic

Medical facilities in Papua New Guinea often lack medications and equipment for diagnosing and treating medical problems. Trained medical staff is also a problem. This has meant that missionaries need to travel outside the country to get proper medical treatment. Onsite diagnosis would provide faster treatment and avoid potentially dangerous delay in treatment.
NTM has established the Island Medical Clinic to meet this need. The clinic needs an Otoscopic diagnostic set and a Fetal Doppler attachment to more accurately identify medical problems so that they can be treated quickly and effectively. These two basic tools would make the clinic much more effective.

Faster diagnosis and treatment for missionaries means that they spend less time out of the tribe for medical care, speeding the task of planting tribal churches.
