Builder / Maintenance

Purpose:

BE A PART of the church planting team by helping to build and maintain missionary housing and offices, both on a support center and in tribal locations.

Responsibilities:

1) Maintain all buildings and facilities at the Islands center.
2) Assist on any construction and renovations.
3) Facilitate the building of new houses for new tribal missionary teams.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree:

No Degree

Experience:

2 years work experience in general maintenance or practical education equivalent to 2 years of work experience.

Skills:

Skills with general cement work, framing, finished work and painting. Need to be able to work well in a team setting.

Comments:

For cultural reasons we require a man for the builder / maintenance role.

The builder / maintenance person will be working with other missionaries and citizen employees, so they don't need to know how to "do it all". But he should be competent and should be able to take the lead in the areas that they do have experience. A person with well rounded experience will stay very busy, but never bored because of the diversity of this ministry.
