Life's not all bookwork as Paul Wilhelmson prepares to begin his ministry in Indonesia.
Paul, a missionary pilot and mechanic, is currently studying the Indonesian culture and language. But he made time recently to travel to a conference for all the NTM missionaries in the region.
"It was humbling again to meet missionaries who have given much of their lives on the front lines for the sake of the Gospel -- to catch glimpses of the realities of tribal missions," Paul wrote.
He was also able to get some first-hand information about the house he will live in after he completes his orientation, and to get his toolbox set up in the hangar.
"Praise the Lord everything arrived, was all there and its all now set up and ready to use," he wrote.
He also had a bonus experience.
"The day I was unpacking the crate I also got to go on a medical flight …. We picked up a stroke patient at a village location and flew them to a hospital in the area before coming back home."
Now he has returned to complete his last unit of language study. "Pray for me that I would finish out the language study strong," Paul wrote.
