Why do missionaries need airplanes?

Often, the church plantings teams are working in very isolated locations completely cut off from the outside world.  Without an airplane it could take them days or even weeks to get in and out of the village.  These trips over land or on the river can be very dangerous and tiring, not to mention the time spent away from the ministry.  With an airplane we can do these same trips in only hours or even minutes!  This allows the tribal missionaries to focus on the reason they are there. . . to see people reached with the Gospel.

So, as you have probably guessed by now, my ministry is primarily as a pilot supporting a number of different tribal works.
