Brazil (November 9th, 2009): Missionary pilot Joel Rich will be taking a test for the aircraft mechanic license in Brazil on November 20. This is the important next step towards getting the flight program in Brazil off the ground. We would really appreciate your prayers for Joel and for the flight program.

United States (October 20th, 2009): The tail will soon be put onto NTM’s first Kodiak airplane, under construction in Sandpoint, Idaho. Pray that all goes smoothly for delivery in December or January. Find out more -- read the story >>

Papua New Guinea (October 13th, 2009): Two men had to be flown out of a remote tribal village Saturday for medical care. Pray for their healing. Find out more -- read the story >>

United States (September 22nd, 2009): The first of 14 Kodiaks is scheduled to arrive at NTM Aviation in November. Hangar facilities have been expanded and aircraft personnel have begun training to be ready for its arrival. Praise the Lord with us and pray for God’s continued supply as the rest of the Kodiaks are specifically prepared for NTM’s use.

Papua New Guinea (August 4th, 2009): One collision with a pig, an overgrown landing spot, absent missionaries and a shortage of fuel couldn’t keep missionaries Joseph Colyn and Joe Evans from feeling blessed. Shuttling supplies into a remote location took longer than expected, but the job was completed. Thank the Lord with us. Find out more -- read the story >>

Pal tribe, Papua New Guinea (August 3rd, 2009): A helicopter landing pad will make ministry among the Pal people easier. Pray that it can be completed by September. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (July 28th, 2009): Praise God that missionary pilot Steffan Pyle has completed his training to fly the Jet Ranger helicopter and can provide flight service that has been sorely missed. Find out more -- read the story >>

Aviation (July 27th, 2009): The first Kodiak for New Tribes Mission will be on the assembly line soon. Praise God for His provision and how this will bless the missionaries serving in remote tribal locations.

Papua New Guinea (July 22nd, 2009): Bobby and Rhesa Bagley continue in the steps of their families as missionaries. Bobby ministers through aviation mechanics and Rhesa teaches math to 4th graders at the mission school. Please pray for Bobby and Rhesa as they serve missionaries who in turn serve the tribal people. Papua New Guinea (July 7th, 2009): Jerry and Renee Cox are taking advantage of the slower summer pace, spending time on family and correspondence courses. Pray for the couple as they serve other missionaries through flight services and teaching. Find out more -- read the story >>

Chimane tribe, Bolivia (June 2nd, 2009): A recent Bible conference encouraged Chimane believers and missionaries. Please pray that God will use them to touch others, bringing more Chimanes to place their faith in Christ. Find out more -- read the story >>

Brazil (May 27th, 2009): Missionaries Charlie and Ruth Patton are returning to Brazil to serve with New Tribes Mission Aviation. Pray that their transition goes well. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (April 23rd, 2009): Please pray for missionaries Bryan and Melissa Abbott as they make plans to move to begin their ministry, and for Bryan and Yuspiter Yambung as they travel to the USA for further aviation training. Find out more -- read the story >>

Manobo tribe, Philippines (April 23rd, 2009): A site for an airstrip has received approval and missionaries are now working on getting the equipment to start construction on the strip. An owner of a bulldozer has been contacted and the missionary team is awaiting an answer on his availability. Please pray that the right equipment can be found and transported to the remote area.

Elseng tribe, Indonesia (April 21st, 2009): Missionaries Scott and Natasha Flaugher and their children ended a nine-day visit in a remote Elseng village on Friday. Now Scott and co-worker Jareb McClain are starting to build the team's houses. Pray for their safety and for the team as they make plans to settle in the village. Find out more -- read the story >>

Taliabo tribe, Indonesia (April 13th, 2009): Please pray for the family of Petrus, a Taliabo evangelist who apparently died when two ships collided in Indonesia last month. Find out more -- read the story >>

Yanomami tribe, Brazil (April 9th, 2009): The toddler son of two Yanomami believers is currently hospitalized, possibly with meningitis. Please pray for them to grow closer to Him through this and that the boy will recover. Find out more -- read the story >>

Palawano tribe, Philippines (April 9th, 2009): A husband and wife recently flew to a medical facility so the wife could get more help than she can in her Palawano village. Pray that this practical help makes them more open to the Gospel. Find out more -- read the story >>

Yanomami tribe, Brazil (April 7th, 2009): As believers prayed for a child's healing while they waited for a plane to take the child to a hospital, other Yanomamis turned to the witchdoctor. Pray that God shows Himself strong and loving in this situation. Find out more -- read the story >>

Elseng tribe, Indonesia (April 7th, 2009): Wednesday, the McClain and Flaugher families make their first visit to the Elseng village they will call home. Pray for a good, safe flight in, and a productive visit. Find out more -- read the story >>

Bolivia (April 1st, 2009): Missionary pilot, Dan Swanson is preparing to begin flying for NTM Aviation in Bolivia. Pray that his paperwork is completed soon. Find out more -- read the story >>

Taliabo tribe, Indonesia (March 30th, 2009): Please pray for God's intervention in the search for a Taliabo evangelist, Petrus, who is lost at sea following a collision of two ships. Missionary pilot Steffan Pyle is joining the search party.

Semandang tribe, Indonesia (March 30th, 2009): A Semandang church came together to build so that their area could have a modern clinic, and last week, a plane arrived bringing the first group of doctors and nurses who will spend a week taking care of medical needs. Praise God for the progress this church has made, and pray for that spiritual needs will be met by this as well.

Indonesia (March 12th, 2009): Two Indonesian missionaries, Yuspiter Yambung and Nomad Nelman, who have completed their training with NTM Aviation are returning home. Please pray for them as they and their families travel and begin ministry in Indonesia. Find out more -- read the story >>

Senegal (February 16th, 2009): Jim and Kris Stewart flew into action when their help was needed for a Bible translation workshop. Thank the Lord with us for willing and flexible people -- and pray for more of them. Find out more -- read the story >>

Papua New Guinea (February 12th, 2009): The airplane -- a Beechcraft King Air -- that was struck by lightning several weeks ago is still in Australia for repairs. The propeller is now being installed and the engine should be released the middle of next week. Please pray that all the repairs can be finished soon so the airplane can again serve the missionaries.

Elseng tribe, Indonesia (January 29th, 2009): Scott Flaugher and Jareb McClain are making a grueling trip among the Elseng people to help them decide where to begin a ministry. Pray for fruitful contacts and safety. Find out more -- read the story >>

Punan tribe, Indonesia (January 16th, 2009): Missionary pilot Daren Spence and his family started off the New Year by experiencing life in a Punan village and fellowshipping with the believers there. Indonesia (January 12th, 2009): The lack of a finished airstrip near a tribal village had missionary pilot Paul Wilhelmson waiting at a halfway point while a missionary family endured an 11-hour trip to meet him. Morop tribe, Indonesia (January 8th, 2009): Medical emergencies made short work of Jim and Joy Elliott's plans on Tuesday. Pray for an ill baby and an injured man they treated, and for time to learn the Morop language. Find out more -- read the story >>

Senegal (December 22nd, 2008): When it looked like flight costs would become too much, God provided. Praise God for His provision of a Cessna 182.

Brazil (December 11th, 2008): Leaders of NTM Aviation met with another group this week to discuss a mission aviation program to serve church planters in remote tribal areas in western Brazil. The meetings went well and all parties were positive about a partnership developing. Please pray for all the pieces to come together.

Morop tribe, Indonesia (November 14th, 2008): God sent carrots to a remote missionary family, teaching a valuable lesson. Thank the Lord for His love and care for us. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (November 13th, 2008): After a long wait, missionary pilot Paul Wilhelmson has received his pilot and mechanic's licenses. Thank you for praying. He now looks forward to greater involvement in ministering to the missionary teams through aviation.

Papua New Guinea (October 21st, 2008): Missionary pilot Charlie Patton, serving with his wife Ruth, arrived safely in their place of ministry recently. Please pray for safety for Charlie as he flies to remote tribal villages. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (October 20th, 2008): Missionary pilot Paul Wilhelmson passed his flight test last week and is now waiting for the paperwork to be processed to obtain his pilot's license. He is thankful for your prayers and asks that you keep praying for the quick processing of his license.

Papua New Guinea (October 14th, 2008): Twenty minutes into a flight, pilot Dave Douglas received an urgent call to help a young tribal girl who had been bitten by a poisonous snake. Indonesia (October 13th, 2008): Paul Wilhelmson will be testing next week for his Indonesian Pilot License. Please pray that all goes well, and he gets the license.

Mexico (September 18th, 2008): Thank the Lord with us that a judge has declared missionary pilot John Van Wormer free of all charges, and that the plane he was flying will be returned. Thank you for praying! Find out more -- read the story >>

Mexico (September 15th, 2008): This week, a judge is expected to decide whether to dismiss charges regarding missionary pilot John Van Wormer. John was detained on Sept. 8 after landing on an allegedly closed airstrip. Please pray that charges will be dismissed. Find out more -- read the story >>

Mexico (September 12th, 2008): Missionary pilot John Van Wormer was released on bail Thursday night. Thank the Lord with us, and please pray that his case can be resolved soon. Find out more -- read the story >>

Mexico (September 10th, 2008): Mexican authorities have detained a missionary pilot after he landed on a remote mountain airstrip in northern Mexico. Pray that the situation can be resolved quickly. Find out more -- read the story >>

Senegal (September 8th, 2008): A college student gained insight into the life of a missionary pilot when he recently visited Jim Stewart's family. Please pray for Drew Callahan as he looks to God regarding his future involvement in planting tribal churches. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (September 5th, 2008): Missionary pilot Nathan Tag and mechanic Bryan Abbott will be tested Monday on their knowledge of the soon-to-arrive helicopter and Indonesian flight regulations. The tests are necessary for certification. Please pray that they will understand the questions, which have been translated into English, and give clear knowledgeable answers. United States (September 2nd, 2008): The Kodiak airplane was on display Saturday in Camdenton, Missouri. Missionary Brian Johnson got a glimpse at NTM Aviation's future as he flew in the Kodiak over NTM's Missionary Training Center. Continue to pray that the 14 Kodiaks that NTM Aviation has ordered will soon be fitted and ready to help in the expansion of God's work among tribal people. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (August 28th, 2008): Indonesian citizens Yuspiter Yambung and Nomad Nelman are training in Arizona to serve in missionary aviation. However some issues with their visas need to be resolved. Pray that their training can continue. Find out more -- read the story >>

Papua New Guinea (August 27th, 2008): The cost of maintaining an aviation program is rising. Added insurance and fuel costs will necessarily be passed on to the missionaries. Pray for wisdom as NTM Aviation makes decisions regarding this.

Papua New Guinea (August 26th, 2008): This week NTM Aviation's helicopter is busy shuttling about 50 loads of building supplies to a new tribal location. Please pray that the shuttles will go safely and smoothly.

Morop tribe, Indonesia (August 18th, 2008): Weather conditions delayed the flight to their home among the Morop people for missionaries Jim and Joy Elliot. Senegal (July 25th, 2008): With the return of missionary pilot Jim Stewart, the plane which has not flown since March, is once again available to serve missionaries. However, mission leaders will meet to discuss the future of the flight program and the high cost of fuel. Please pray for wisdom as they make decisions. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (July 10th, 2008): Paul Wilhelmson is experiencing many of the benefits of his recent move to an Island in Indonesia. Pray with us as he gets settled in and works toward getting his pilot and mechanic licenses. Find out more -- read the story >>

Senegal (July 3rd, 2008): Jim and Kris Stewart have arrived back in Senegal after a year on home assignment. Jim is a missionary pilot and Kris assists him. Pray that they will be able to transition smoothly back into their ministries.

Papua New Guinea (June 17th, 2008): A Long Ranger helicopter was recently delivered to NTM Aviation in Papua New Guinea. As soon as additional equipment is installed it can be put into service. Please pray that it can be paid for and operational soon. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (June 5th, 2008): Two Indonesian men, Yuspiter and Nomad, are moving closer to their goal of returning to Indonesia as a part of the aviation team. Taliabo tribe, Indonesia (May 9th, 2008): Darryl and Kyla Palmer had a profitable time assisting the Taliabo church during their recent three-month stay in a village. Thank the Lord for the work they and the believers were able to complete. Find out more -- read the story >>

Philippines (May 8th, 2008): Please pray for missionary pilot Ben Hart and his wife, Suzy, as they get more involved in the aviation program. "[Ben] now has experience in regular flights, delayed flights, last minute medical flights and canceled flights," wrote Suzy, who will take over flight following and scheduling.

Southern Isnag tribe, Philippines (May 7th, 2008): Steve, a missionary pilot with SIL, was in the right place at the right time. After a routine flight into a Southern Isnag village, Steve had to make an emergency trip to deliver a mother and her newborn child to a hospital for medical help. Papua New Guinea (April 30th, 2008): New Tribes Mission recently purchased a helicopter in Papua New Guinea. Please pray that everything necessary to get the helicopter on-line will proceed quickly and smoothly, including the new certificates of registration and airworthiness.

Indonesia (April 21st, 2008): Missionary pilot Lawrence Elroy and his wife, Jodie, are finding a lot is different as they learn the Indonesian culture and language. Pray that they learn quickly and adjust well. Find out more -- read the story >>

Bolivia (April 1st, 2008): An aircraft was badly damaged but the pilot, the only person aboard, suffered only cuts and bruises in an emergency landing Monday. Please join us in thanking the Lord for his safety, and in asking God to give him and his family peace and assurance as they work through the trauma of this event. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (March 25th, 2008): Paul Wilhelmson, a missionary pilot and mechanic, recently got some first-hand information and experience about what his new ministry in Indonesia will entail. Mexicanero tribe, Mexico (March 24th, 2008): Ron and Tasha Davis are taking the first steps toward moving into the tribe. Pray for the family and the tribe as they both make adjustments. Lamogai tribe, Papua New Guinea (March 13th, 2008): Rory and Mary Fuller had a profitable visit to a village where they lived among the Lamogai for many years. United States (March 11th, 2008): God has used the Cessna 185 airplane to facilitate tribal church planting for many years. One particular plane has a rich history of exciting events. Abau tribe, Papua New Guinea (March 7th, 2008): Physical illness has helped the spiritual health of the young Abau believers. Now that a whooping cough epidemic is past, pray for continued spiritual growth. Find out more -- read the story >>

Calamian Tagbanwa tribe, Philippines (March 3rd, 2008): Plans for an airstrip meant one thing to missionaries and another to tribal people. Thank the Lord that the misunderstanding was easily cleared up. Find out more -- read the story >>

Moi tribe, Indonesia (February 1st, 2008): Seven years of hard work came to fruition this week when the airstrip was approved. Though it is not completely finished it is now officially open. Rich and Karen Brown and their children will be flying in tomorrow morning. Praise the Lord that the airstrip is available.

Senegal (January 31st, 2008): Missionary pilot Mark Mowery has been advised by doctors to return to the USA for back surgery. Mark has been serving the missionaries in Senegal until Jim and Kris Stewart return from home assignment. The flight program will be suspended temporarily and supplies will be delivered by road until Jim and Kris return in late June or early July. Please pray that the Mowerys can find the right doctor to help with Mark's back. Pray too for safety and the logistics of delivering supplies by truck.

Papua New Guinea (January 10th, 2008): The helicopter involved in an accident in Papua New Guinea last month is expected to arrive in Arizona in February for evaluation. NTM Aviation personnel will determine whether it can be repaired or will need to be replaced. Pray that this helicopter or another can be back in service soon. Find out more -- read the story >>

Senegal (December 28th, 2007): With the NTM aircraft unavailable, missionaries scurried to buy and transport Christmas gifts and goodies by ground. Thank the Lord for a team that puts love into action. Find out more -- read the story >>

United States (December 19th, 2007): Zach Keller is in his final stage of training to serve as a missionary pilot with NTM Aviation. Pray for his successful achievement of a dream launched by a cassette tape 20 years ago. Find out more -- read the story >>

Akolet tribe, Papua New Guinea (December 14th, 2007): Adam and Julie Martin are encouraged by steady progress in learning the culture and language of the Akolet people, and by the return of their co-workers, Ryan and Nicki Coleman. Papua New Guinea (November 28th, 2007): NTM Aviation's helicopter will need to be repaired or replaced after being seriously damaged Tuesday. Pray that one or the other happens soon, so a helicopter can be back in service meeting the needs of missionaries who are planting churches among unreached people. Find out more -- read the story >>

Papua New Guinea (November 27th, 2007): Thank the Lord with us that the pilot -- the only person aboard -- was able to walk away after NTM Aviation's helicopter was damaged in an accident this morning. Pray that the aircraft can soon be repaired or replaced. Find out more -- read the story >>

Senegal (November 20th, 2007): The government has closed an airstrip that is used only by NTM. NTM is appealing to have it reopened. For now missionaries in that village must drive two to three hours to the next closest airstrip to pick up their supplies. Please pray that God will work in the hearts of the decision makers to reopen the strip.

Arintap tribe, Indonesia (November 19th, 2007): Missionaries Porter Hampton and Dave Williams are currently building homes for their families to move into an Arintap village in Indonesia. Please pray that they can get the roof on the house this week. Pray too that they will build good relationships with the Arintap people as they work together. Find out more -- read the story >>

Indonesia (November 7th, 2007): An answer to prayer, a new helicopter, will soon be on its way to Indonesia. Praise God for this needed tool, and pray that it arrives safely. Find out more -- read the story >>

Philippines (November 5th, 2007): NTM Aviation recently submitted aircraft registration papers for renewal. Any delay in processing the paperwork will affect missionaries' travel plans and deadlines. Please pray that God will move upon hearts to expedite the process.

Philippines (October 18th, 2007): Ten flights in four days have made it a hectic week for David Johanson who buys supplies and prepares them for shipment to missionaries. “Apart from one box that went missing (and has since been found) … everything and everyone is where they are supposed to be,” wrote Helen Johanson. Please pray that David will have strength and wisdom as he works to supply the needs of missionaries in the tribes.

Inanbimali tribe, Papua New Guinea (October 16th, 2007): Translated Scripture portions, needed for evangelistic Bible lessons, are being checked this week. Pray for missionaries Brooks and Nina Buser as they prepare materials to begin teaching in January. Find out more -- read the story >>

Philippines (October 12th, 2007): Having only a four-day window this month to get crucial supplies to missionaries serving in remote locations, missionaries David and Helen Johanson work hard, purchasing, preparing and packing what usually is spaced out over a full month. Papua New Guinea (October 1st, 2007): Please pray for NTM’s missionary pilots, mechanics and other missionaries who stand ready to go into action during medical emergencies. Find out more -- read the story >>

Papua New Guinea (September 20th, 2007): Charlie Patton, a missionary pilot with NTM Aviation, recently had a life-saving mission as he flew the baby of a couple from another mission to Australia. The child, suffering from a dangerous, nearly fatal condition, received necessary surgery. Please thank the Lord for our pilots and pray for them as they fly over treacherous terrain.

Semandang tribe, Indonesia (August 29th, 2007): Missionary pilot Daren Spence delivered a three-day-old baby and mom to a Semandang village in Indonesia and stayed for a pleasant lunch with missionaries Ron and Nita Berglund and with several of their Semandang co-workers. Pray for safety for Daren as he provides flight service for missionaries and tribal people throughout Indonesia. Find out more -- read the story >>

Tobo tribe, Papua New Guinea (August 23rd, 2007): When Micah Knapp, son of missionaries Jason and Kellie Knapp, needed a dentist, there was one in town for only that weekend. Praise God for His provision exactly when it was needed. Find out more -- read the story >>

United States (August 21st, 2007): Six new families have arrived at NTM Aviation in McNeal, Arizona, to begin specialized training for missionary pilots. Pray for safety in flight training and for the families as they adjust to their new surroundings. Find out more -- read the story >>

Bolivia (August 8th, 2007): The ministry of missionary pilot Dwayne Block and his wife, Sharon, is not limited to what you can fit in an airplane. Pray for them as they minister in their church and among people involved in aviation in Bolivia. Find out more -- read the story >>

United States (July 20th, 2007): Thirty-two months after the first flight of the Kodiak prototype, the Federal Aviation Administration has granted certification to the plane. Please thank the Lord for this good news and pray that the assembly of the Kodiaks will progress without problems and on schedule for NTM to receive the first of 14 planes ordered in late 2008. Banwaon tribe, Philippines (July 20th, 2007): An accident in the jungle Sunday left Tidi, a Banwaon boy, suffering various symptoms from a head injury. Missionaries arranged for an emergency flight and he arrived this morning at the hospital. Pray the Lord will give wisdom to the doctors and bring about Tidi’s full recovery. Bolivia (July 12th, 2007): Missionary Pilot Dwight Brown is just getting adjusted to life in Bolivia after several years serving in missionary aviation in Paraguay. Pray for Dwight and his wife, Diana, as they adjust to the culture. Pray also for Dwight’s safety. Find out more -- read the story >>

Papua New Guinea (June 20th, 2007): In his short time on the field, pilot Eric Zimmerman has seen the despair of the people and the challenges of getting the Gospel to them. Eric is scheduled to receive his final flight training evaluation this month. He and his wife, Casey, will then move into the Nakui tribe for four months of culture and language acquisition. Indonesia (April 16th, 2007): Plans to borrow a Piper Aztec to provide missionary aviation services in Indonesia have apparently fallen through. “The door of opportunity ... stands as wide open as it ever has,” wrote missionary Paul McDole. Pray for a mission aviation solution, which would help expand the reach of the Gospel on the islands in the region.

Bolivia (March 2nd, 2007): NTM’s flight program has flown aid to some victims in flooded areas and missionaries are collecting used clothing to distribute among those most affected. Senegal (March 1st, 2007): The lack of aviation fuel remains a problem in Senegal. A shipment of fuel arrived in port but missionary pilot Jim Stewart was only able to buy a small amount since the fuel company has yet to receive their large stock. A flight scheduled for Thursday was cancelled until fuel is available. Please pray that the flight will only be delayed a few days and that the larger shipment will arrive soon.

Senegal (December 29th, 2006): Air service for missionaries in Senegal has been shut down due to the lack of fuel and a broken part on the plane. Pray that both the fuel and the part will arrive in time for a flight scheduled for Jan. 9.

United States (December 19th, 2006): NTM Aviation’s goal of purchasing 14 Kodiak airplanes is almost complete. Deposits have now been made to secure 13 production slots. Pray for God’s provision for the final plane.

United States (November 13th, 2006): Reading a newspaper account about the Kodiak Kids in Indianapolis inspired a couple to give a large gift enabling NTM to make deposits on three more planes. Deposits have now been made on ten of the 14 Kodiaks that NTM Aviation wants to add to its fleet. Praise God for what He is doing, and pray for His provision for four more planes. Senegal (August 25th, 2006): Missionary pilot Jim Stewart flew 900 pounds of supplies to several different tribal locations last week. The flight provided help to remote tribal missionaries dependent on the airplane for needed supplies. United States (August 21st, 2006): Last week a critical phase of testing began for the Kodiak aircraft. The Kodiak was configured with a spin chute for the procedure. The tests, necessary for FAA certification, will take place over a two-week period. Test pilot Bruce Barrett will do 200 spin tests. Pray for safety for Bruce and for successful completion of this test phase.

Buru tribe, Indonesia (August 4th, 2006): With no plane available the trip was exhausting, but the fellowship was great when missionaries Greg Berglund and Herman Kodidi recently visited the new Buru believers. United States (August 3rd, 2006): The third-grade class of Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis got to see the plane that has captured their attention for the past seven months. The Kodiak made a special fly-in on Monday to an excited crowd of about 200. Pray for the on-going project and the 14 Kodiaks that NTM wants to provide for its aviation ministry. Taliabo tribe, Indonesia (August 1st, 2006): The Taliabo people of Indonesia are working on an airstrip near their village. They realize the importance of having flight service to bring supplies for the missionaries and for transportation in and out of the village. United States (July 31st, 2006): The “Kodiak kids,” a third-grade class at Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis, Indiana, get to see the plane for which they raised $375,000. The Kodiak will be on display at an airport a few miles from their school. Parents and other supporters will join the class for a true celebration of their accomplishment. Morop tribe, Indonesia (July 27th, 2006): The airstrip for the Morop ministry is close to completion. "If we have a large crew of 40 or more and good weather it is possible that we could finish the airstrip project by the end of next week," wrote missionary Ray Milton. When the airstrip is completed Ray and his wife, Dulcie, along with co-workers, Jim and Joy Elliott, will be able to resume full-time culture and language study. Pray for the manpower and good weather.

Pawaia tribe, Papua New Guinea (July 25th, 2006): An emergency flight last week in difficult weather conditions saved the life of a Pawaian boy. Senegal (July 20th, 2006): Much needed airplane parts are being held in port awaiting paperwork to release them. NTM personnel will meet with authorities today to see if arrangements can be made for their release. The container in question also has personal items for missionaries. If the container continues to stay in port missionaries will have to pay storage fees. Please pray for this situation to be resolved.

Indonesia (July 12th, 2006): A lack of fuel in Indonesia is causing financial burden to missionaries and has leaders contemplating the sale of their airplanes to buy aircraft that use a different fuel. Pray for wisdom and God’s provision. Find out more -- read the story >>

Buru tribe, Indonesia (June 30th, 2006): Three missionaries will travel to Buru Island in July to encourage a missionary couple and the Buru believers, and to help get clean water piped into two villages. United States (May 1st, 2006): The third grade class at Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis presses forward in its efforts to purchase a Kodiak plane for NTM. Ten-year-old Renee Anthony was able to take a first-hand report about the Kodiak back to her class after she and her father attended an open house at the Quest Aircraft plant in April. Bolivia (March 17th, 2006): NTM pilot Tony Murrin recently was forced to land on a highway due mechanical problems. Mechanics traced the problem to a defective part. The plane must now undergo a major inspection before it can fly again. Pray that the plane will be found safe.

Indonesia (March 3rd, 2006): Today Indonesian believers Yuspiter and Nomad are taking their final oral and practical exam for mission aviation. “This is a long and arduous test,” wrote missionary Scott Meyer, “and they would greatly appreciate your prayers.” Testing will take six to eight hours, beginning at 1pm central time. Since the test is in English pray also for the test giver, for clarity both in asking the questions and in understanding their answers.

Philippines (February 10th, 2006): This weekend missionaries Garry and Cynthia Barkman are moving their family and the aviation program to a new location where their co-workers and a newly-constructed hangar await them. Then Wednesday, Garry will head to Manila to renew his pilot’s license. Pray for energy as they pack and for a smooth transition.

Isnag tribe, Philippines (February 1st, 2006): With the assistance of support missionaries, missionary Jon Bamford managed to get his brother and niece to Manila so they wouldn’t miss their flight to the US. Praise God with us for the faithfulness of missionary pilots, supply buyers, and all those who serve “behind the scenes” to make it possible to plant tribal churches in the remotest regions of the world. Senegal (December 29th, 2005): Pilot and mechanic Jim Stewart plans to do a 100-hour inspection of the NTM Aviation aircraft in use in Senegal next week. Pray that all goes well and quickly, and no problems turn up that could disrupt vital flight services for missionaries serving in remote tribal villages.

United States (December 22nd, 2005): Thank the Lord with Paul Wilson, who is in training at NTM Aviation Headquarters in McNeal, Arizona. A recent evaluation showed that everything is on track for Paul to finish his work in Arizona by late February 2006, after which he expects to serve in Papua New Guinea.

Papua New Guinea (December 14th, 2005): NTM personnel worked together last week to get medical help to a family from another mission organization that was involved in an accident. NTM pilots rushed Dr. Kevin Ludwig and two nurses to the site, while office personnel worked to prepare paperwork for the missionaries to be flown to Australia. Pray for the recovery of Terry and Rachel Ritschard, and continue to pray for NTM’s pilots, mechanics, medical teams, and other support personnel as they serve the NTM family and beyond. Tobo tribe, Papua New Guinea (December 1st, 2005): As many as 500 Tobos worked at a time to resurface the airstrip at Lengbati village. Missionary Kyle Pederson flew in to help Jason Knapp supervise the project. The first NTM pilot to land on the newly surfaced strip told missionaries is was “great job.” Pray for NTM’s pilot and aircraft mechanics who serve our missionaries. Venezuela (November 15th, 2005): The registration for one of NTM Aviation’s planes will expire in two weeks. The renewal looks doubtful at this time. If this plane becomes unusable, it will leave only one plane to serve the needs of our missionaries. Please pray.

United States (November 7th, 2005): Pray for strength for NTM’s pilots – Tony Murrin in Bolivia, Michael Stroh in Indonesia, Dwight Brown in Mozambique, and Garry Barkman in the Phillipines – who are the sole pilots on their fields. A number of pilots who could help carry the load are in various phases of preparation. Some are being checked out on airstrips on their field of service and others are in language study.

Siawi tribe, Papua New Guinea (October 13th, 2005): NTM missionaries responded quickly to save the life of Siawi believer Sokwawe, who was suffering from complications following childbirth. Senegal (September 30th, 2005): A substantial gift this week, coupled with a gift from last week, will enable the Senegal flight program to hold the line on what missionaries are paying for flights. “The Lord has provided in a way none of us could have imagined,” wrote missionaries Steve and Jessica Bastow. “These gifts will allow the flight program to continue at the present hourly rate for some time without an increase in cost,” despite huge increases in fuel prices. United States (September 28th, 2005): Seven couples will move on to aviation ministries on various fields when their training is completed at Camdenton, Missouri. Pray that they will soon be fulfilling their vital ministry to missionaries in the tribes.

Senegal (September 27th, 2005): “Please be praying concerning fuel for our mission plane,” wrote missionary Steve Bastow. “It has not been possible for us to purchase it for some time now. Fuel was supposed to be in the country almost a month ago. We need to truck fuel to a couple of locations interior for use when doing supply flights, etc.”

Simbari tribe, Papua New Guinea (September 22nd, 2005): The airstrip for the Simbari ministry has been closed. The strip was considered unsafe due to constant rains and poor upkeep while the missionaries were on home assignment. Missionaries will now have to travel and have supplies brought in by helicopter which is more expensive. Pray that the Simbari people will be motivated to restore the airstrip.

United States (September 19th, 2005): Three couples and one single person are now in training with NTM Aviation at McNeal, Arizona. Pray for them as they learn the particulars of serving as pilots and mechanics in order to serve missionaries in remote places.

Venezuela (September 14th, 2005): NTM Aviation recently shipped 45 drums of avgas to Tamatama to end a five-month period of being without fuel in the jungle. Having the fuel available at Tamatama will now allow planes to haul more cargo on each flight. There is still a need for diesel and other fuel for Tamatama and tribal ministries. Pray for the permits to be issued and arrangement for shipments to be made.

Philippines (August 31st, 2005): Major decisions have been made regarding relocating the flight program in Mindanao. Plans are under way to build a new hangar. Pray that all the permits will be obtained, and that the project can continue unhindered.

Venezuela (August 5th, 2005): A Cessna plane formerly used in Paraguay is now en route to Venezuela. The plane, refurbished at NTM Aviation in Arizona, is scheduled to arrive Monday morning after flying across the Caribbean. Pray for a safe flight.

Senegal (July 22nd, 2005): A missionary foundation in the USA, with a heart for missionary service in Africa, wants to help with the operating costs of the flight program. High fuel costs have been threatening the use of the plane in Senegal. Praise the Lord for the interest shown and the help it will bring.

United States (July 8th, 2005): Paul Wilhelmson will complete his flight training with NTM Aviation in Arizona at the end of July. He hopes to serve as a bush pilot in Indonesia. Pray for continued safety as he works to become proficient in flying both types of aircraft NTM uses in Indonesia.

Papua New Guinea (June 29th, 2005): The weather was very agreeable yesterday for the helicopter to transport the plane that was damaged last month on landing at a tribal airstrip. The plane was loaded into a container and should be delivered to the hanger in Goroka today. Thanks for praying.

Papua New Guinea (June 28th, 2005): A team of men will be working tomorrow to transport a plane that was damaged on landing at a tribal airstrip last month. The plane will be flown in pieces by helicopter to where it will be loaded in a container. Pray for the safety of those involved and for the container as it is driven.

Senegal (June 7th, 2005): The steep increase in fuel costs has caused concern for the future of the flight program. Pray for wisdom and direction as leaders seek other ways to serve missionaries.

Philippines (May 4th, 2005): There has been no airplane service for missionaries on Palawan for several months, so they were overjoyed to have temporary flight service deliver much needed supplies. There will be even more rejoicing when they have a full-time pilot. Keep praying.

Philippines (April 13th, 2005): Currently, no NTM Aviation planes are operating in the Philippines. Missionaries and tribal people are being affected by the lack of transportation, supplies and emergency medical care. Pray that the issues preventing flight service will be resolved quickly so that God's work in planting tribal churches will not be hindered.

Papua New Guinea (February 24th, 2005): Pray for the families of Chris Hansen and Richard West, MAF (Missionary Aviation Fellowship) pilots who were recently killed when their airplane crashed in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. They played a vital role in flying NTM missionaries to and from tribal ministries.

Papua New Guinea (February 10th, 2005): An overhauled engine and propeller have arrived to repair one of the two airplanes that were damaged in November. Pray that this work would go ahead without further complications so that the plane will be available to service our missionaries in the bush locations. An engine for the second plane is currently being overhauled in the USA. It may be several weeks before it is shipped.

Papua New Guinea (February 1st, 2005): The aviation staff is preparing for a compliance audit that will take place later this month. The three-day affair with government aviation authorities will touch on all aspects of NTM’s flight operations in Papua New Guinea. The result will determine the length of the operating license that is issued. Pray for a good evaluation and a lengthy permit.

Senegal (January 26th, 2005): A dramatic increase in fuel prices is threatening to shut down aviation service to missionaries in Senegal. Pray that a solution will be found so that efficient service can continue.

United States (January 20th, 2005): Wednesday, NTMA pilot Bruce McCurdy, 48, was killed instantly when the jeep in which he was traveling alone was broadsided by a truck. His co-workers Scott Meyer and Indonesians Yuspiter and Nomad, who are currently in aviation mechanics training, were in the vehicle ahead. Bruce was visiting them in Michigan. Please pray for Bruce’s wife, Pam, and sons Don, 15, and Grant, 12, in Camdenton, Missouri. Pray also for Scott, Yuspiter, Nomad and their families, who are among the many shaken by the loss of their friend. The funeral service is planned for Saturday.

Indonesia (December 22nd, 2004): Pray for Indonesian believers Yuspiter and Fitria Yambung and Nomad and Vanti Yelman. The two couples are in Michigan so the men can be trained in missionary aviation. Pray for them as the cold weather is far removed from the warmth of Indonesia and they miss their families at this time of year. Both wives are expecting, Fitria in January and Vanti in June. Pray that God will continue to meet their needs and that the men will learn much to benefit the flight program in Indonesia.

Papua New Guinea (December 6th, 2004): Damage to two planes in November has caused an extra workload for mechanics. Venezuela (November 9th, 2004): A number of pilots and aircraft mechanics are on home assignment which means double duty for those in Venezuela. And one of the projects taking up time and energy is trying to get the new hanger certified as an approved maintenance facility. Pray for strength for the pilots and mechanics and for good interaction with Venezuelan officials regarding the certification process.

Senegal (October 19th, 2004): Escalating fuel prices are making it far too expensive for missionaries to fly in Senegal. Missionary pilot Jim Stewart, and his wife, Kris, ask that you pray for God’s leading and wisdom in the flight program.

Indonesia (September 21st, 2004): Helimission pilot Neil Roesler was killed Monday when his helicopter crashed into a mountain in Indonesia. The Helimission ministry plays a major role in flying NTM missionaries into tribal locations. Neil has been a tremendous blessing and a friend. Pray for his wife, Sandy, and their two young children, Kaila, 2, and Micah, 1.

United States (August 25th, 2004): Four men have finished their training with NTM Aviation and qualified as pilot/mechanics. Pray for God’s direction as they take the next steps to fill much needed ministries in various countries.

United States (August 16th, 2004): Last weekend, 17-year-old Jeff Burnham piloted a Super Cub on a sentimental journey from McNeal, Arizona to Rosehill, Kansas. The airplane that Martin Burnham flew now belongs to his son. Find out more -- read the story >>

Venezuela (July 14th, 2004): A plane that was damaged in an accident two weeks ago will be dismantled and shipped for repairs. Pray that this will be done safely. Pray too for aviation personnel as they seek to provide the services necessary to their fellow missionaries; and for the pilot, who was uninjured but shaken up.
